Pellicano Project – Upcoming Roadway Closures

El Paso County is encouraging motorists to take alternate routes and plan for additional time to reach their destinations from and to Pellicano Dr., The additional roadway closure at Pellicano Dr. Westbound lane is required to allow workers to perform construction work at the area as part of the ongoing Pellicano Dr. Project. The closure would be from Friday, June 26 @ 7 am through Wednesday, July 1 @ 6 pm. Please see the link below which provides a map of the exact area that would be affected by this closure. Thank you.

Community Meeting for The Fabens Airport Land Use & Zoning Protection Plan / Reunión de la Comunidad: Plan de Protección y Zonificación Para el Aeropuerto de Fabens

MEETING INFORMATION

Inviting all residents and property owners of Fabens, Texas. Join El Paso County for an informational community meeting to discuss the final recommendations for Fabens Airport and to review the draft land use protection options. An Airport Business & Development Plan and a Zoning Masterplan is been develop to create various land use options to best protect the airport and maximize its future use. This is the final meeting prior to review by El Paso County Commissioners Court. A link to access virtually to the meeting is located below. Presentation Format: We recognize that COVID-19 makes is difficult for us to en-gage in a traditional manner. This meeting will be conducted outside through a “drive-in movie” format. Participants will be required to stay in their cars or and maintain social distancing protocols, wear face coverings, and keep other sanitary standards. County staff and presenters will also maintain these standards while interacting with the public.

Únase al Condado de El Paso (El Paso County) para una reunión informativa a la comunidad para discutir las recomendaciones finales para el Aeropuerto Fabens y para revisar las opciones de protección de usos. Un Plan de Desarrollo Económico del Aeropuerto y un Plan Maestro de Zonificación están siendo creados para identificar varias opciones de uso del suelo para proteger mejor el aeropuerto y maximizar su uso futuro. Esta es la reunión final antes de la revisión por parte del Tribunal de Comisionados del Condado de El Paso. Mission Ridge Boulevard Phase II Project – Upcoming Roadway Closures update

On June 9, 2020 Tuesday morning Marfa Place will be closed to traffic and Andrew Place will be closed to thru Traffic until the Contractor completes the Sanitary Sewer line work at Pellicano Drive and Mission Ridge Boulevard Intersection. Construction is required for the completion of the Mission Ridge Ph. II Project. Anticipated completion schedule is for July 31, 2020 (tentative to change due to field conditions).

Ryderwood Ave. Extension Opening

        El Paso County is happy to announce that the Ryderwood Ave. Extension Project has been completed and is now open to the public. The construction of the Ryderwood Extension was made possible by a mutual agreement between the City of Horizon and El Paso County to provide an alternative east/west route and alleviate congestion on Eastlake Blvd., which runs parallel to those project
